Philippines: Protestant church bombed; two killed

Two people were killed and three others wounded in a grenade attack on a Protestant church in the Mindanao province of the Philippines, the AsiaNews service reports.

The October 8 attack in North Cotabato was carried out by two men on a motorcycle, witnessed said. The grenade exploded at the entrance of the United Church of Christ as people gathered for worship. The assailants escaped without being identified.

The Mindanao province has been the scene of frequent attacks by Islamic separatists.
