Laos: Christians arrested for prayer service in private home

Police in Laos have released six Christians who were arrested for violating a local order against communal prayer services in homes, the Fides news service reports.

Pastor Sompang Supatto, who was arrested on September 28 along with the six members of his Christian community, remains in police custody. They were jailed after a local official issued an order against prayer services in private homes.
