South Sudan’s government has permitted a Catholic radio network to reopen as long as it does not report on political issues, according to a report from the Catholic Information Service for Africa (CISA).
According to an earlier CISA report, after rebels attacked government forces in August, Bakhita Radio said that the government had launched the attack, leading to the station’s shutdown and the imprisonment of its news editor.
