Italian archdiocese protests city's registration of same-sex unions

The Archdiocese of Bologna, Italy, has protested the city’s decision to offer legal recognition for same-sex unions.
A spokesman for the archdiocese said that the city’s policy, which took effect on September 15, was “rather ideological” and had been made on the basis of “slogan attacks” rather than mature reflection.
