Thousands of Nigerians flee as Boko Haram advances

Thousands of residents of northeastern Nigeria have fled for neighboring Cameroon in wake of the advance of the Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram.
“The spokesman for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Maiduguri also claimed militant fighters had carried out atrocities against Christians in the town of Madagali, in Adamawa state, but there was no independent corroboration,” Agence France-Presse reported.
