Nuncio: Syrian war becoming a ‘forgotten conflict’

The apostolic nuncio in Syria said that the three-year-old Syrian Civil War is becoming a “forgotten conflict,” according to a L’Osservatore Romano report.

Rebel forces are battling with the regime of President Bashar al-Assad for the control of Aleppo, the nation’s largest city.

Archbishop Mario Zenari said that the war’s humanitarian dimensions concern him the most, including the “great mass of refugees” now in Lebanon.
