Filipino Christians working in Libya are at risk, pastor says
July 29, 2014
A Filipino priest serving in a parish in Libya has warned that the lives of Christians are endangered in that country, the AsiaNews service reports.
Father Amado Baranquel pointed to the case of a construction worker who was killed in Benghazi on July 29, and said that other migrant workers living in Libya could suffer a similar fate "for not being a Muslim."
There are roughly 13,000 Filipino workers now living in Libya.
