Boston Catholic health-care agency denounced for involvement with abortion
Catholic World News - March 04, 2009
Loyal Catholics and pro-life activists in Boston are protesting the announcement that Caritas Christi, a health-care agency administered by the Boston archdiocese, has joined with another agency in a bid for a government health-insurance contract that would require coverage for abortions, sterilizations, and contraceptives. C.J. Doyle of the Catholic Action League said that the involvement of the Catholic hospital chain "appears to be an appalling betrayal of Catholic principles and a grave scandal."
