Pope wants small Korean car for Korean visit

July 03, 2014

Pope Francis has indicated that he wants to travel in a Korean-made car when he visits the Asian country in August.

The Pontiff does not want a bulletproof car, and would prefer "the smallest type if possible," said a Church spokesman who is helping organize plans for the papal trip.

Although Korean authorities have expressed serious concerns about the security preparations for the papal visit, they are likely to accommodate his wishes.
