British court upholds law against assisted suicide

The Supreme Court of Britain has dismissed challenges to a 1961 law that prohibits assisted suicide.
In a series of June 26 actions, the top court rejected three separate challenges to the Suicide Act. The judges ruled that any change in the nation’s laws regarding assisted suicide should be made by Parliament.
