Vatican plans for canonization of six new saints

The Vatican has scheduled a consistory on June 12 to prepare for the canonization of six new saints. The consistory will make plans for the canonization of:
- Blessed Giovanni Antonio Farina, an Italian bishop;
- Kuriakose Elias Chavara, an Indian priest;
- Ludovico de Casoria, an Italian Franciscan priest;
- Nicola da Longobardi, an Italian oblate of the Order of Minims;
- Eufrasia Eluvathingal, an Indian religious; and
- Amato Ronconi, an Italian layman
