Bishop describes kidnapping, narrow escape from death, in Central African Republic

A bishop who was kidnapped by rebels in the Central African Republic last week has told the Fides news service that his captors fully intended to kill him. Bishop Nestor Désiré Nongo-Aziagbia of Bossangoa told Fides that the leader of an armed group that abducted him and three other priests on April 16 accused the bishop of opposing the Seleka rebels, and was taking the clerics away to be killed when another rebel leader intervened. The bishop and his priests were released on Good Friday and returned to their homes.
However, rebels killed another priest of the Bossangoa diocese, Father Christ Forman Wilibona, on Good Friday. Bishop Nongo-Azigbia told Fides that Seleka rebels control most of the area in his diocese.

This is a serious situation that must be taken just as seriously. It would appear that we have a president who is overly sympathetic to Islam because both his father and stepfather were of that religion.

The bishop obviously didn't hear Cardinal McCarrick state, "“Many people are trying to make life impossible for Muslims.”
