Rome’s hotels near capacity for canonizations of John Paul II, John XXIII

March 07, 2014

Most of Rome’s hotels and group residences are nearly sold out for the weekend of April 27: the date of the canonization ceremonies for Popes John Paul II and John XXIII.

The ANSA news service reports that among the more than 3,000 lodging facilities in the city, only 500 have any rooms remaining for that weekend. With bookings still being made, hotel owners expect to be fully sold out soon.
