The head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church welcomed Secretary of State John Kerry’s support for the new Ukrainian government.
Major Archbishop Sviatoslav Shevchuk “thanked John Kerry for coming to Ukraine and asked for international support for the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian government,” according to a report from the Religious Information Service of Ukraine. The prelate “told the secretary of state that his presence … is very important for Ukrainians.”
