Pope appoints presidents for October Synod meeting

Pope Francis has appointed three co-presidents for the October meeting of the Synod of Bishops, which will concentrate on the family.
Cardinals Andre Vingt-Trois of Paris, Luis Tagle of Manila, and Raymundo Damasceno Assis of Aparecida, Brazil will share the presidential duties at the October meeting.
Cardinal Peter Erdo of Budapest had already been named the general rapporteur, and Archbishop Bruno Forte of Chieti-Vasto, Italy had been appointed the special secretary for the Synod.
