January 10, 2014
A Missouri court has ordered the Archdiocese of St. Louis to release a list of priests who have been accused of sexual abuse.
In a related development, the Archdiocese of Chicago is planning the release of the names of accused priests, again in response to a court order. Cardinal Francis George has told the faithful that the publication of names is being done in the interests of “transparency.”
