Security increased at Nigerian churches
Catholic World News - December 23, 2013
Concerned about potential Christmas attacks by the Islamist terrorist organization Boko Haram, Nigerian security forces have announced that they are bolstering security at the nation’s churches and other locations.
“All the strike forces and specialized units of the force have been adequately mobilized to ... provide water-tight security," said a police spokesman, as quoted by Reuters. “Covert operations, round-the-clock surveillance, and ... patrols are being intensified, while particular attention is now constantly paid to strategic public places.”
