Pope encouraging Confession during Advent, asks Curia officials to hear confessions

Catholic World News - December 19, 2013

Pope Francis has been encouraging Vatican officials to help bring Catholics back to Confession during Advent, the Catholic Herald of London reports.

The Pope reportedly asked prelates serving in the Roman Curia to take turns hearing confessions each day at the church of Santo Spirito, just outside the Vatican. Pope Francis himself is expected to join in the effort, hearing confessions in the afternoon.
