Report: Syrian rebels organize burning of Bibles, other Christian books

Members of a Syrian rebel faction, the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant, “have organized a book burning of Bibles and Christian books” in front of a Greek Catholic church, the Fides news service reported.
The reported site of the book burning is Ar-Raqqah, a city of 220,000 in north-central Syria that was taken over by allied Syrian rebel forces in March.
