Vatican envoy at UN calls for steps to broaden access to medicines

The Vatican’s representative at UN headquarters in Geneva has called attention to the difficulties that millions of people face in obtaining needed medications.
Speaking to a session on access to medicine, Archbishop Silvano Tomasi called for an approach to the distribution of medicine that would establish “true distributive justice which guarantees everyone adequate care on the basis of objective needs.”
