Missionary priest killed in Haiti

Catholic World News - April 26, 2013

A Catholic priest from Canada was killed in Port au Prince, Haiti, on April 24.

Father Richard Joyal, a missionary of the Society of Mary, was fatally shot in the back as he left a bank, carrying a considerable sum in cash. His two assailants snatched a package that the priest had been carrying, but did not take the money. Police have not determined the motive for the killing.
