Chaldean prelate invites Pope to visit Iraq
CWN - March 22, 2013
Chaldean Catholic Patriarch Louis Raphael I Sako has invited Pope Francis to visit Iraq, and reports that the Pontiff responded positively to the idea.
“The Pontiff said he looks forward to visiting our country, which is also where Abraham began his journey,” the Chaldean prelate said after a March 21 with the new Pope. He said that a papal visit to the embattled Christian community of Iraq would “inspire us with courage and hope."
