Chinese diocese emphasizes Confession during Lent
CWN - February 19, 2013
The Diocese of Wenzhou, headquartered in a city of three million on the eastern coast of China, held a two-day Lenten retreat at its cathedral beginning on Ash Wednesday.
On February 15, 11 priests visited the nearby city of Yueqing (Leqing) and heard 2,000 confessions. The diocese plans to hold another “visiting confessors mission” at another parish in late February.
