Biden receives standing ovation at DC parish

January 19, 2009

Vice President-elect Joe Biden received a standing ovation during Mass yesterday at Washington’s Holy Trinity Catholic Church, where President John F. Kennedy regularly attended Mass while president. The applause came after Biden received Holy Communion, when a lector welcomed visitors to the congregation. Holy Trinity Catholic Church has been administered by the Society of Jesus since 1794.
