Monaco's royals meet with Pontiff

CWN - January 14, 2013

Pope Benedict XVI met on January 12 with Prince Albert II on Monaco and his wife Princess Charlene.

A brief Vatican statement after the meeting indicated that the topics of conversation had included Catholic Church activities in Monaco, international development, and the environment. After his private talk with the Pontiff, Prince Albert also met with the Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone; and the Secretary for Relations with States, Archbishop Dominique Mamberti.
