Philippines: 9 million in procession in honor of Black Nazarene

A crowd estimated at nine million has taken part in the annual procession in Manila honor of the Black Nazarene, a statue of Christ carrying the cross.
The statue was brought from Mexico to the Philippines in the early 17th century.
Most of the participants in the procession were barefoot; 164 were treated for minor injuries.
