Pope faces busy 2013 schedule
CWN - January 02, 2013
Looking forward at plans for 2013, the National Catholic Register concludes that Pope Benedict XVI already faces a busy schedule, although more events will certainly be added.
Pope Benedict, who will celebrate his 86th birthday in April, has not yet announced plans for any foreign travel during the year, although he is expected to attend World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro.
The year’s schedule includes a new encyclical on faith, a meeting of all Vatican diplomatic officials in June, and a record-breaking canonization in October.
