Hong Kong prelate wants vote for all, support for family life
CWN - December 24, 2012
In a Christmas message, Cardinal John Tong of Hong Kong has repeated his plea to let all of the people of Hong Kong participate in votes to elect the political leaders of the territory.
Cardinal Ton also called for support for family life, suggesting government efforts to help provide for housing and education. More generally, he said, the family should be recognized as the fundamental unit of society and the best situation for rearing children.
