Massachusetts priest who fled child-porn charges returns to face court
CWN - December 20, 2012
A Filipino-born priest of the Worcester, Massachusetts diocese, who fled to his native land after he was indicted on child-pornography charges, has returned to face prosecution.
Father Lowe Dongor turned himself in to authorities in the Philippines, and was extradited back to the US. He also faces criminal charges for allegedly stealing parish funds to send to his family in the Philippines.
Father Dongor was suspended from priestly ministry when the charges against him were raised. The Worcester diocese has begun the process of seeking his laicization.
