Vatican post office issues annual commemorative Christmas envelope
CWN - December 11, 2012
The Vatican post office has announced the release of an annual Christmas envelope, postmarked on Christmas Day and featuring a reproduction of a work from the Vatican Museums.
Each year the Vatican issues a collectible envelope for Christmas. This year’s release shows a reproduction of “Nativity and Journey of the Three Kings,” a product of the 15th-century Marchigian school. The envelope bears a 60-cent stamp from the Vatican’s “Christmas 2012” series, and the postmark bears the message: Christus Natus Est Alleluia.
