Gynecologist group calls for over-the-counter birth control pills

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists is calling upon the federal government to permit the over-the-counter sale of birth control pills.
Over-the-counter access to the pill would allow women to “pick it up in the middle of the night if they run out,” said Kavita Nanda, a researcher for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. “It removes those types of barriers.”
