Pope prays for American hurricane victims

At the conclusion of his regular public audience on October 31, Pope Benedict XVI voiced his sympathy and promised his prayers to the victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Noting the “devastation” that the storm had wreaked on the east coast of the US, the Pope said that he wished to “offere my prayers for the victims and express my solidarity with all those engaged in the work of rebuilding.”
