Polish archbishop warns against Halloween excesses, 'world of darkness'
CWN - October 30, 2012
Archbishop Andrzej Dziega of Szczecin-Kamien, Poland, has warned his flock about “the real possibility of spiritual damage” from macabre Halloween celebrations.
In a letter that he asked priests to read out at Mass on the Sunday before Halloween, the archbishop warned that some celebrations had become “irresponsible and anti-Christian,” while others beckoned impressionable young people into “a world of darkness.”
