Seek roots of evangelization in Jerusalem, Patriarch suggests
CWN - October 15, 2012
“Any big event in the Church must go back to Jerusalem, start with Jerusalem,” the Latin-rite Patriarch of Jerusalem told the Synod of Bishops.
Archbishop Faoud Twal, speaking to Vatican Radio about his address to the Syond, said that “the New Evangelization must return to its roots in the Church of Jerusalem.” He encouraged Christians from all around the world to visit the Holy Land and see the Church in the land where the faith began. “Come to see what we call the living stones, and encourage us, share with us our fears, our joys, our aspiration.”
