Russia weighs restrictions on building of mosques

Russian officials are barring the construction of Islamic mosques in regions where the population is composed primarily of ethnic Russians, the Forum 18 news service reports.
The construction of mosques is allowed in regions where the population belongs to ethnic groups that are historically Muslims, but not in other parts of Russia, the report indicates.
