Caritas appeal for Ethiopia
CWN - August 29, 2012
Caritas Internationalis, the Church’s confederation of relief and development agencies, has issued a $3.1-million appeal to assist persons affected by drought in Ethiopia, where nearly 3.8 million people need food assistance.
“The drought was at its worst in 2011, and its effects are still being felt in some parts of the country,” said Shiferaw Mamo of Caritas Ethiopia. “We can’t let up our efforts now.”
