Bishop Finn's lawyers move to exclude evidence from trial
CWN - August 21, 2012
Attorneys for Bishop Robert Finn of Kansas City are arguing in a Missouri court that evidence of a priest’s involvement in child pornography should be excluded from the bishop’s trial on related charges.
Bishop Finn faces a criminal trial in September on a charge of failing to report evidence of sexual abuse. The case involves the case of a priest, Father Shawn Ratigan, who has pleaded guilty to charges of child pornography. The bishop’s attorneys have said that several pieces of evidence entered at the Ratigan case should not be used against the bishop.
