Islamist terrorists attack Catholic parish in Nigeria

After destroying part of a school, gunmen attacked a Catholic parish and police station in Yobe State in northeastern Nigeria but were repulsed.
“Attacks launched against Damagun police division and Catholic church were successfully repelled by the police, who were on full alert,” said a police spokeman.
The Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram (“Western education is a sin”) claimed responsibility for the attack.
