Nigerian archbishop named Pax Christi peace laureate

Archbishop John Onaiyekan of Abuja, Nigeria, has been named this year’s Pax Christi International Peace Laureate for his work to promote understanding between Christians and Muslims despite the terrorist campaign by the Boko Haram sect.
Archbishop Onaiyekan will be honored by Pax Christi at a ceremony in Brussels in October.
