Religion more interesting than politics: Tony Blair

Catholic World News - July 24, 2012

Former British prime minister Tony Blair, who converted to Catholicism after stepping down from public office, says that he has “always been more interested in religion than politics.”

Blair says that he accepts the teachings of the Catholic Church, but is “not a doctrinal ideologue.” He tells an interviewer that he became a Catholic because “I just felt more at home there.”

Let's pray that Mr. Blair will remain within the Catholic Church. I'm glad he converted. He finally has access to the grace of our Lord in Holy Communion that was not present in the Anglican sect he left.
