Former students allege psychological abuse at Legionary school
CWN - July 09, 2012
A group of 77 former students at a school run by the Legion of Christ in Rhode Island have signed a letter complaining of psychological abuse, and urging the Vatican to shut down the troubled religious order.
The 77 women, who were being trained for celibacy, said that they endured depression and stress-related problems because of the pressures they were under to conform to the strict code of behavior imposed on them by their Legionary superiors.
