CWN - May 11, 2012
Father Robert Barron, the noted evangelist and creator of the acclaimed Catholicism documentary series, has been named the rector of the Chicago archdiocesan seminary in Mundelein.
A priest of the Chicago archdiocese, Father Barron is the head of Word on Fire Catholic Ministries. His 10-part documentary series, which aired this year in the US on the PBS and EWTN television networks, has been warmly welcomed by both Catholic leaders and media critics. He will continue his media work while serving at the Mundelein seminary, the archdiocese said.

It makes me curious why he would accept such an offer. A fine intellect, excellent teacher, who will now be bogged down administrative minutia. Maybe the next step is bishop.
