Papal encouragement for large families
CWN - February 15, 2012
Pope Benedict XVI gave his wholehearted encouragement to large families during his regular weekly audience on February 15.
"In today's social environment, families with many children are witnesses of faith, courage and optimism, because without children there is no future,” said the Pontiff. He added that large families are “a source of wealth and hope for the entire country.”
The Holy Father made these comments as he acknowledged the presence of members of the Italian National Association of Large Families in the audience.
