Former Anglican leader sees 'crusade' against Christianity

A retired Archbishop of Canterbury has complained that “deep forces at work in Western society” are endangering the rights of Christians.
Former Archbishop George Carey—now Baron Carey of Clifton—spoke out in after a court ruling against public prayers before meetings of a local government body. Describing the ruling as “rubbish,” Baron Carey said that he saw it as part of a continuing “crusade” against Christianity in public life.
