India: bulldozers desecrate Christian cemetery

Christians in India have decried the desecration of a cemetery in the Gujarat state, noting that the destruction of tombstones was not the work of work of isolated vandals but an organized effort using bulldozers.

The systematic violation of graves, done under the pretext of "cleaning," demonstrates the indifference of state authorities, Christians charge. Gujarat, in western India, is controlled by the Hindu-nationalist BJP party.
