Charismatic priest competes with Pentecostal sects in Brazil

A talented and photogenic priest, active in the charismatic renewal, has gained enormous popularity among Catholics in Brazil.
Father Marcelo Rossi, who is as famous for his singing as for his preaching, is seen as a Catholic response to the Pentecostalist sects that have made inroads among the Catholic communities of Brazil with their more dramatic approach to worship.
