Nigeria: Christmas church bombing suspect arrested, escapes

Kabiru Sokoto, the man suspected of planning the Christmas Day attack on a Nigerian parish that left 38 dead, was arrested in the governor’s compound in Borno State, which is located in northeastern Nigeria.
While Sokoto was being conveyed to a prison near the capital city of Abuja, fellow members of the Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram attacked the police convoy, allowing Sokoto to escape.
