India: 2011 the worst year for persecution of Christians

The year 2011 was the worst on record for the persecution of Christians in India, according to a report released by the Catholic Secular Forum, a lay organization. The report documents three to five attacks per day in the southwestern Indian state of Karnataka; in the eastern state of Orissa, six Christians were killed.
