Pakistani police plan special Christmas patrols to secure Christian churches

Pakistani authorities have deployed more than 2,500 police officers to protect Christian churches to prevent attacks by radical Islamic groups at Christmas time.
Police have announced that they will offer “special security measures” at the 430 Christian churches remaining in Pakistan, with special emphasis on preventing violence at 38 churches, including those that usually attract worshippers from other countries.
