42 Christians arrested in Saudi Arabia

December 19, 2011

Saudi police stormed a prayer meeting in Jiddah, the nation’s second-largest city, and beat and arrested 42 Ethiopian Christians. The Christians are being reportedly being tortured in prison.

Officials “have arrested Christians in the past, but it is unprecedented for them to arrest 42 Christians at one time,” according to a local source.
